Every invoice and proposal in Spending carries a Type, which tells you what kind of work the cost is for. Use the Type to tell routine maintenance apart from one-off repairs and emergency call-outs when you scan or filter the table.
Spending is available to consultants, and to client users when the clientPortalSpending flag is enabled for the account.

The spending types

The Type column groups each item into one of these categories:
TypeWhat it covers
MaintenanceRoutine, recurring upkeep under the service contract.
RepairOne-off fixes outside routine maintenance.
CallbackA response to a fault or call-out (the closest equivalent to an emergency service visit).
InspectionRequired inspections and testing.
ModernizationLarger upgrade or modernization work.

Filter by type

Use the Type filter on the Spending table to narrow the list to one or more categories — for example, to review only Repair and Callback charges.
Type tells you what kind of work was billed; the Status column tells you where the item is in review (Pending, Pending Data, Approved, Partial Approval, Rejected). Combine the two filters to focus, for example, on Repair items still Pending.
