Not every dispute ends in a settlement. You can withdraw a dispute to close it without a resolution, and you can reopen a resolved dispute to pick it back up.

Withdraw a dispute

Withdrawing closes a dispute without recording a resolution — use it when you decide not to pursue the charge further.
1

Open the Dispute tab

Open the invoice and go to the Dispute tab. While a dispute is active, you’ll see a Withdraw Dispute action.
2

Confirm

Choose Withdraw Dispute and confirm in the dialog. The dispute moves to Withdrawn and is closed without a resolution.
The withdraw confirmation dialog states that withdrawing cannot be undone and that the dispute will be closed without resolution. Treat a withdrawal as final.

Reopen a resolved dispute

If you marked a dispute Resolved but need to keep working it — for example, the credit never landed or the vendor reopened the conversation — you can reopen it.
1

Open the resolved dispute

Open the invoice and go to the Dispute tab. A resolved dispute shows its resolution details with a Reopen Dispute action.
2

Confirm the reopen

Choose Reopen Dispute and confirm. The dispute returns to an active state.
Reopening a dispute clears the previous resolution — including the recorded resolution type, settled amount, and savings. You’ll need to resolve the dispute again to record a new outcome.
