Keeping a contract accurate matters: its terms, rates, and review rules are what the AI invoice review compares invoices against. This article shows how to open the contract editor and what each section covers.
Editing a contract is limited to the consultant role. Client users can view contracts but can’t edit them.

Open the editor

1

From the contract detail panel

Open a contract and select Edit Contract in the panel header.
2

From the contracts list

Open a row’s action menu (the at the end of the row) and select Edit.
Either route opens the Edit Contract Summary dialog.

What you can edit

The editor is organized into tabs:
1

General

Core contract details — name, vendor, type, term, pricing, and other terms.
2

Rate Sets

The rate sets and hourly rates that apply to billed labor.
3

KPI Targets

The contract’s performance targets.
4

Invoice Review Rules

The rules that tell invoice review what’s included, excluded, or otherwise worth flagging.
A contract can span several properties, but the editor works in the context of one property at a time — it opens scoped to the contract’s first property.
Accurate rate sets and review rules directly improve invoice AI review. See How contracts power invoice AI review.
