# Create and organize portfolios

> How to group related properties into a portfolio for oversight and reporting.

A **portfolio** groups related properties together — typically the buildings belonging to one client — so you can monitor their performance, spending, and tickets as a set rather than one building at a time.

<Note>
  Portfolio organization is a **consultant** concept. In the Portfolio **Table** view, properties are grouped by their portfolio, and the page can be narrowed to a specific region or service provider.
</Note>

## How portfolios appear

Each property belongs to a portfolio, and the portfolio name shows in the property's breadcrumb (Portfolio › client › portfolio) and as the grouping in the Table view. Grouping by portfolio lets you:

* See all of a client's properties together for quarterly reviews.
* Compare performance KPIs across the group.
* Roll spending and tickets up to the client level.

See [Browse your property portfolio](/portfolio/browse-portfolio) for how to switch to the Table view and expand a portfolio group.

## Creating and changing portfolios

Portfolio assignments are set up when your properties are onboarded. If you need a property moved to a different portfolio, a new portfolio created, or a client's properties regrouped, contact LiftAI support and we'll make the change for you.
