# Understand the Work Queue count badge

> The count badge beside Work Queue in the sidebar shows how many items — invoices included — currently need your attention.

The **Work Queue** entry in the sidebar carries a count badge. That number is how many items currently need your attention across your portfolio — invoices and proposals awaiting review, plus disputes, expiring certificates and contracts, and overdue violations. When everything is handled, the badge clears.

  The Work Queue is available to the **consultant** role. Consultants review vendor billing and manage compliance on behalf of building owners.

## What the badge counts

The badge counts every open item in your Work Queue, regardless of any filters you've applied to the list. Snoozed items don't count until they come back. A very large count shows as **99+**.

This replaces the old **Review Pending** button in the top bar — pending invoices are now part of the Work Queue along with everything else that needs attention.

## Act on what's waiting
