# Find a service contract

> How to search Contracts by name, vendor, or property.

The **Contracts** view lists every service contract across your portfolio. Use the search box and table to find the contract you need by its name, its vendor, or a property it covers.

<Note>
  Contracts can be viewed by **consultants** and **client** users. Editing a contract is limited to consultants — see [Edit a contract](/contracts/edit-a-contract).
</Note>

## Search for a contract

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Contracts">
    Select **Contracts** in the navigation to open the list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Type in the search box">
    Use the **Search contracts, vendors, properties…** box in the page header. The list filters as you type, matching against the contract **name**, the **vendor**, and the names of the **properties** the contract covers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open a result">
    Select a row to open the contract's details. See [View contract details](/contracts/view-a-contract).
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Read the contract list

Each row summarizes one contract:

* **Contract** — its name, with the contract type beneath it.
* **Vendor** — the service provider.
* **Properties** — how many properties it covers, with the first one named.
* **Cars** — the number of cars (elevators/lifts) covered.
* **Term** — start and expiration dates.
* **Renews** — days until renewal; this turns amber as renewal nears and red once expired.
* **Monthly** — the total monthly price.

<Tip>
  The list sorts by **Renews** soonest-first by default, so contracts approaching renewal — or already expired — surface at the top.
</Tip>
